The Social Network, trailer 2010

The document under study is trailer for the movie entitled “The Social Network”, released in 2010. The movie is about the creation of the famous social media platform Facebook.

We have learned that Mark Zuckerberg created the website with friend when he was student in Harvard.  The goal/purpose/aim was to live the experience of college online, to have fun. Moreover, to have the attention of the clubs because it can lead to a better life and have greater prospects and opportunities later in life. Nevertheless, people became too obsessed with the website, as they wanted more and more friends and likes. On top of that, there were tensions between the creators of the platform which led to a break up of the friendship. In addition, his friend sued him for having stolen his idea. Besides, other people wanted to make profit out of his idea. To finish with, the university of Harvard accused Zuckerberg of having breached security, violation of privacy and of copyrights.

Eventually, nowadays, Facebook is a worldwide application which is used daily by millions of users.
