King Charles has always been a passionate about protecting the environment. When he started to show interest in ecological issues in the 1970s people would mock him. However, he was an avant-gardist, a visionary man, a pioneer, modern before the time. As the years went by, people started to take the ecological problems seriously, and King Charles never gave up his ideas and values in his will to protect the environment. Hence, his passion for the environment make the monarchy modern.
