No Thanks, no Giving (1ère Générale)

(At the follwing of what we did last time)

During slavery in America in the 19th century, African slaves became friends/got along well with the Native American because they had the same “enemy”. Indeed, both communities had been oppressed by the European colonists.  Furthermore, some rich Native Americans also had African slaves traded with European colonists at the time. This was the beginning of the creation of the Black Indian community.

To conclude, This community chose to be called “Black Indians” in order to  pay tribute/ pay homage/commemorate to their Native American heritage.

Homework: Learn the lesson.

Enjoy this holiday season.😊
