In fact, it has become a real market, which has an impact on the economic level. Besides, these platforms have consequences on our daily lives as some of them are created to be used everyday in our interactions with others.

In addition, regarding the age groups of users, there are usually younger users for the most popular platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok… Nevertheless, statistically speaking some social networking sites also attract seniors: 46% of them use Facebook on a daily basis.

Additionally, there are some inequalities between the different platforms whether you are on Instagram or on YouTube you are not interacting systematically with the same community. Indeed, some social media platforms attract more seniors than others and vice versa.
