This movie sheds light on/highlights/showcases/illustrates the forgotten heroes that played an important role in the space conquest by calculating complex but necessary equations for the trajectories of the astronauts.

The document under study is an extract form an article published in 2019. It deals with the fact that for the movie “Hidden Figures to look realistic, they hired different expert. Here, we have learned that they hired a mathematic expert to teach the lead actress the main math formulas. Besides, he had to make sure that the formulas were correct. He also encouraged the lead actress to learn all the formulas in her script to them her own in order to look more credible.

Text C: Bringing Hidden History to the Big Screen

The document under study is an extract from an article published in 2017. It deals with how the movie used historians to make it realistic. To do so, they sued the help of Bill Barry, a chief historian at NASA. Indeed, he helped the movie director to write the script in order to make sure that the film was correct as possible. However, the movie director did not always follow his advice as he wanted to romanticize some scenes in order to add a dramatic touch some time to time.
