The document under study is an extract/ excerpt from a novel entitled “The Picture Dorian Gray”, written by Oscar Wilde in 1891.

There are three characters who are Lord Henry, one of Dorian’s friends; Dorian Gray, the eponymous protagonist, and Basil Hallward the painter who painted Dorian’s portrait.
